Operation Crib

As many of you know, Elizabeth has not been very fond of her crib up to this point; She loves her swing! For weeks, Matt and I have tried to get her "back to sleep" in her crib and each week we find ourselves unsuccessful. Unwilling to try the "cry-it-out" method for longer than fifteen minutes, we kept putting her in the swing. We tried everything to get her to sleep in her crib (swaddling, wedge, different room temperatures, variations in clothing, etc.)and the only way she would fall sleep was on her stomach. Well of course that wouldn't fly, so we resorted to the dear swing.
For a while I was ok with this. It was in her room, she was safe and she slept 8-9 hours straight. What was the problem you ask? She needed to learn to sleep in her crib before she became too dependent on the swing and its assistance in helping her fall asleep. So, Wednesday night I decided it was TIME. I bathed her, we read/sang, I fed her and placed her in the crib...expecting a long night once again... 15 minutes of on/off crying and reassurance from Matt and I... She was asleep. Simple as that =)
Three consecutive nights in the crib and we are beyond thrilled!
