Today marks Elizabeth's one month birthday and what a joy she has been! The past 4 weeks have flown by and have been the best of our lives. In celebration, Honey and Poppy threw a birthday party for our little princess.
At one month of age:
Elizabeth LOVES
to EAT (this is an understatement people!)
bathtime
to be held
to cuddle
to sleep in the swing (we have yet to master sleeping in our crib)
walks in the park
to be outside
to ride in her carseat (falls asleep every time)
Elizabeth DISLIKES
when she gets the hiccups
her bed
being swaddled (she seemed to love it in the hospital)
having a dirty diaper
changing clothes
tummy to play time (she would love to sleep on her stomach - against AAP guidelines)
nail trimming
to be hungry
Mommy LOVES
kissing her chubby cheeks
kissing her chubby cheeks
the adorable face I wake up to
when I get her out of bed (or swing I should say) for nightime feedings - the way she arches her back, leans her head back, and throws her arms up near her ears as she scored a touchdown
snuggling
when she flutters her eyes as she enters a light stage of sleep and seems to "smile"
watching her sleep (I guess I should probably be sleeping too)
how dramatic she is when she sneezes and coughs
reading to her
rocking her to sleep
reading to her
rocking her to sleep
Elizabeth continues to wear newborn diapers, to nurse approximately every 3 hours during the day with longer periods at night, and is starting to wear 3 month clothing. I can not get over how much she has changed in just a few short weeks. Everyone continues to say she looks like her daddy and we still aren't sure where her light hair came from - only time will tell!
Elizabeth goes to the pediatrician again this coming Monday. I will have more to post of her progress in the coming days...
